As 2019 wrapped a decade, I was scrolling through my memories of 10 year back.
Reliving the memories through the photos and remembering the situations and occasions in which they were taken. They were not the easiest, yet now that I am looking back, I see how much I grew stronger, and how much these years have shaped me.
Experiencing the loss of dear ones, taught me the importance of cherishing the time I had with them and the time with those who are still with me; moreover, the importance of expressing the love we have to them.
I learned how to be selective in my circle, not everything that shines is gold, clearly talking about human relationships. I used to be more of a people pleaser even if it meant giving more than taking, until I realized that even though we should be caring and givers, we should not sprinkle this like confetti. Be good but learn your value and never let anyone take you for granted.
I was lucky and still am to have the support that I need and this is all a blessing from Allah, may we always meet on the way the right people with whom we grow.
And finally, I learned that it is never too late to follow the passion I have, to pursue my dream, to leave that toxic friendship, to reach out for help and to be outspoken about my needs and mostly to set boundaries.
Now let me share with you, the memories that marked me these past ten years as well as for this year, again through photos.
2010
Freshly out of the loss of my beloved Dad, the year was not easy, however we tried lifting ourselves, preparing for my sister’s wedding, celebrating life.

2011
Another wedding to celebrate, this time it was my brother. Nothing defines the year like happy love stories.

2012
First trip to USA, and it was one of the best trips, NYC, Washington, and a road trip all the way to Orlando and Miami (where i left my heart)

2013
Two trips within a year, my first work trip to Cairo, it was actually the first time I travel after coming back from France. It was the first time also I plan for my trip and I mix business and leisure!

I ended the year in one of a lifetime experience, spending one month in Sweden for an extended workshop where I got to meet amazing people, some of whom are still friends.

2014
Again it is about travel, what can I do, I am addicted! I fell under the charm of Morocco, specifically Rabat and its raw culture. Counting to be back to discover more of it. Oh and another trip to USA this time to discover San Francisco and Las Vegas.

2015
It set myself free and left my job after 6 years without an alternative! I was aspiring a true change (yet it was not the time!)
We celebrated my elder brother’s wedding, it was an opportunity to all of us to meet again in the same country, it was heartwarming.

2016
A fresh start, PTITNFIT was born, more focus on aligning all my social media platforms with it. A trip to Italy and to Jordan with lots of beautiful memories.

2017
Would you judge me if my favorite memories are around travel?! I enjoyed another trip to celebrate my friend’s wedding in Jordan to end the year discovering Tunisia.

2018
How about starting the year in Belgrade then wining a trip to Boston to visit Converse headquarter sounds like! And how about I say I revisited NYC and enjoyed sunny Florida again?! Can’t beat that!

2019
January
A fresh new start, embracing what this year will bring with the set goals and the positive mindset. January always holds this pain in the heart, of remembering my dad and thinking that it has been already 10 years that I am facing this life without him.

February
God Bless UAE. It was good to be back after almost 4 years, and how I missed roaming in Dubai and RAK.

March
You know by now that I am a big fan of this month, well it is MY BIRTHDAY. Yet this year, it was teared with the loss of my paternal grandmother, I will forever miss her yet you know I hope she is in a better place now.
I also had a work trip to Cairo and it was actually a good distraction, I also loved meeting old friends and new.

April
As much as we talk about the beauty of Lebanon, we can never do it justice. And when it comes to valuing the locals and their effort, Souk El Tayeb and its Tawlet is probably the best initiative ever. We enjoyed another time touring between Ammiq and Saida to savor local delicacies and explore the area.

May
Blessed to be alive again and witness Ramadan.

June
I officially declare it tan and fun season!

July
Did someone say trip?! Another work and leisure trip, this time back to Tunisia and its charming vibes.

August
Family is here and I am complete, well parts missing only! What a better way to celebrate Eid!

September
Another rural trip, exploring my neighborhood and savoring fall.

October
Revolution is female! Yes we have risen beyond our fear and are still fighting for a better Lebanon.

November
USA baby, Washington to Florida and city of lights with her. Be patient as I am still preparing for you all the guides that you would need to have the USA trip of a life time.

December
Pause- restart. The end of the year that have been a turmoil of feelings and experiences. Praying 2020 will be one hell of a start.
And a new chapter begins…
