If healthy can be tangible, the closest would be a meal at Breakfast Barn!

A beautiful balcony overlooking a small street in Achrafieh, a welcoming sign: “We serve Health for breakfast, brunch et un ptit cafe”, inviting right!

On a Sunday morning, where laziness is allowed, and meal times can be modified as one likes, we decided to brunch at almost 4 pm! We had just the right time to enter this wellness booth welcomed with large smiles of the staff.

The interiors are small, but cleverly used: funny signs of: Don’t panic it is organic! or “Bonjour healthies” rhyming with the concept! As well as the paper plate mates inviting us to “Enjoy being healthy” my mantra!

The menu colorful, couples with photos to know what to expect and to tackle your eyes for the tasty meal you will order!

We picked:

• Beetroot roost salad: a celebration of flavors, textures and colors: feast for the eye and the gut and even better the strawberry dressing!

• The Egg O Pesto: two perfectly poached eggs over bread smeared with pesto and fresh mushrooms, what a combination, explosive taste, just tick the yolk to do its wonders moisting the open-faced sandwich! We added some Smoked Salmon for a richer taste! An additional side kale and baby spinach salad with pomegranate seeds boosts teh benefits more and more!

And for dessert Feta O dates: two slices of bread with crumbled feta topped with almonds and dates: balanced mix of sweet and tangy leaving your sweet tooth in full satisfaction guilt free!

A lovelier end was offered to us at the end of the meal a chia pudding with layers of avocado, mango , strawberries and nuts along with a small jar of honey: Hello Antioxydant!

I would absolutely recommend you to go and do your health and gut a favor where you can enjoy a meal like no other!

The breakfast barn is in Debbas Street, Charles Malek Avenue, Tabaris, Achrafieh; facing the Ministry of Foreign affairs. It is open Monday to Sunday from 7:30 AM to 5 PM.
