Hello, my lovelies. Can we talk about how important it is actually to disconnect? One week away felt like forever in the best way, and while we all come back from vacation slightly more exhausted than when we left (why is that always the case?), something about pure leisure works on you in ways a weekend never can.
I already shared all the stories from the trip, and they’re highlighted on my page for anyone who missed them in real time. A blog post is obviously coming, so brace yourselves for some feed spam in the next little while. All the vlogs are also being shared gradually on TikTok, so make sure you’re following there if you want the full trip, moment by moment.
What I didn’t take a vacation from, though, are my lovely clients, whose appreciation genuinely means the world to me, and all of you, my subscribers, who I made sure to keep updated with everything happening across the fashion weeks while I was away. So let’s catch up properly, because Milan wrapped and Paris is in full swing as I write this.

After New York’s more undone, pared-back energy, London kept the sex appeal going. Running September 17 to 21, London Fashion Week SS27 leaned fully into flashy embellishments and bedroom-inspired styling, easily the most rebellious of the four cities. Off-the-shoulder straps picked up right where New York left off, with Simone Rocha, Erdem, and KNWLS all giving their silhouettes that same relaxed, just-rolled-out-of-bed effect, while fringe took a more Art Deco turn at Roszkanda and Ahluwalia rather than the usual western styling. Erdem even sent out silky printed gowns that looked almost shredded, in the best way. Beyond the sex appeal, London also had its gentler, more grounded side: Burberry’s Daniel Lee collaborated with textile designer Celia Birtwell to loosen the house’s iconic check with hand-drawn florals and curling vines, and cottagecore quietly evolved into what’s being called “gardencore”, romantic rural references mixed with practical workwear shapes, gardening jackets, and botanical prints. Orange also had a real moment across multiple labels, from soft coral to vivid, almost-neon tangerine.
Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2027 had zero interest in restraint, leaning into shorter hemlines, bigger accessories, sharper styling, and colors that refused to sit quietly in the background. The bra top officially stuck around as a layering piece rather than a trend to retire, showing up under suiting and skirts at Prada, alongside Fendi and Blumarine’s slinky, vintage-inspired slip dresses and sheer coverups. Heels went dramatically higher too, with Roberto Cavalli and Gucci sending pumps well past the five-inch mark for an early-2000s edge, while violet emerged as the color the whole city seemed to agree on. Workwear got a shake-up as well: Jil Sander, Tod’s, and Marni swapped the usual loose, oversized tailoring for shrunken jackets and cropped hemlines instead. And Fendi’s Maria Grazia Chiuri delivered lace-trimmed slip skirts and negligée-style dresses that pushed the vintage-slip trend from this past year into something with a lot more overt sex appeal than her previous, more pragmatic outing for the house.
Paris, meanwhile, is only just getting started, and it’s already loud. The Spring/Summer 2027 season runs through October 6, and this edition carries extra weight with a wave of major creative-director debuts across the calendar. The week opened with Matières Fécales staging a dramatic show at Place de la République built around the idea of “The Ninety-Nine Percent,” mixing sculptural tailoring, embellished gowns, dramatic feathers, and streetwear references to explore freedom and individuality. Dior followed with Jonathan Anderson’s latest, staged in the Tuileries Garden, mirroring its surroundings with floral motifs, delicate pleating, and fluid, nature-inspired silhouettes, a softer, garden-party contrast to Milan’s bra-and-stiletto energy.
As I’m writing this, the week is still unfolding, with Chanel, Loewe, Givenchy, and Louis Vuitton still to come before the season wraps on October 6. So consider this part of the Paris coverage; I’ll have the full picture, Chanel included, for you very soon.
