How I dread the seasonal change! It is not only on the emotional level, but mostly the physical level. Just like Fall is indecisive in its weather, so is my body between bloating and water retention to various episodes of lack of appetite to an open one where I can eat non stop! I learned to accept this as the more you stress over such topics, the more they have their place in your mind and body. I am just sharing it here, as I always share my thoughts and experiences with you, and with those who relate to know that they are not alone!

Talking about mood swings, a topic that keeps popping an I am interested in assessing if I am an introvert /extrovert  or ambivert! In rhyme with that, what are the strengths and weaknesses of 12 zodiac signs? I am a Pisces what about you?

F for Fashion

Carrying on with Milan Fashion week and ending with Paris Fashion week! For Milan, Etro’s ornamental and paisley flowers with a twist punky edge with platforms and over the knee heels. Tod’s collection was all about relaxed silhouettes feminine touch to masculine fits, pastel hues and nostalgic view to the 90s minimalism. Gucci saw double with “Twinsburg” collection inspired by Alessandro’s mom who is a twin; his own take of tailoring with boldness as well as inspiration from the Chinese culture. Missoni’s playful collection with peekaboo, slits and plunging necklines and Versace’s Y2K mixed with contemporary touches from lingerie slip dresses and veils with cargo pants and monochromatic looks. MSGM with crop shirts and lots of sheer and sexy cuts. Leather is a main element in Ermanno Scervino quest to feminine delicacy vs rigidity. Dolce and Gabbana collaboration with Kim Kardashian Ciao Kim collection spiced the already sexy mood where she reviewed her favorite pieces from collections since 1987 up to 2007 resulting in a lot of sexy cuts and embellishments and prints. Ferragamo made a brand uplift and the start was with all neutral collection glossy materials. Jil Sander collection in tailored cuts and lug sole boots with lots of shimmering details. Bally’s collection presented suits and tailored cuts in velvet and denim as well as leather jackets and Kate Moss casually in denim look opened the Bottega’s show that had tailored suits, denim on denim looks, evening wear with intercciato leather fringes and intarsia knits. Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini gave the right dose of casual and aesthetic drawing his inspiration from the ’90s of Romeo Gigli’s collections and the 70s designer Giorgio di Sant’Angelo collections. Toile De Jouy and latex fabrics along with redefinition of shirts among many cues for this collection. And Il finale was with Giorgio Armani whose Fil d’or connected the collections with that thread that had reference to the Sahara with lots of sequins and sparkles in silver and gold.
As I mentioned in my previous post, Burberry had postponed their show, and it finally happened this week where stars rushed after Milan to attend. Kayne and Naomi, Irena Shayk among other stars where there; the collection had Burberry’s signature print with lots of lace, denim on denim and high waits floor length skirts.
Paris Fashion Week started with Dior collection was inspired by Catherine Medici with lots of lace and romantic florals as well as details like eyelets and Paris map, in a relationship between power and fashion. YSL kept playing on its famous strong shoulders 80s fits and from inspiration by the late choreographer Martha Graham, the show included silk jersey floor length dresses, chiffon dresses and leather outerwear. The Olsen twins showcased their collection for The Row with oversized fits and tailoring. Acne Studios with their signature pink and crochet with pearls in celebration of their 10th year anniversary. Dries Van Notten showered us with colorful flowers and sheer while COURRÈGES immersed the crowd inside an hourglass with cool and elegant looks. Cecilie Bahnsen’s “We are water” had a lot of fluidity and volume dresses with sneakers and socks. Balmain ended by non other than Cher end his show with her futuristic body suit while his collection as sustainable as possible, with a mix of couture pieces and ready to wear. Chloe’s collection had biker leather coats jackets stitched with dynamism and floor length tank dresses with cutouts. Rick Owens played on volumes and cheer with leather and platform sandals with feather. Georges Hobeika as usual all glamorous in a flamingo Club themed presentation. And Off White debut collection with Kamara as Image director, always in celebration of Virgil’s legacy, as it’s also part of a brief he started in 2021, shirt dresses, feminine tailoring, front cutouts and printed x-rays as well as denim.
