From rock grunge to romantic, the trends suit all the tastes and prove that opposites attract. Here is a round up of the main trends to help you fall proof your closet.

Capes, quilted coats and Cozy Outerwear: anything oversized that feels like a warm hug!

Forget about the bright florals and opt for moodier ones for this season.
If you are not a fan, than you can opt for the animal prints from Leopard to cow, but mostly snake.
Another fall winner is the plaid which is the new black! Not to forget the argyle sweater which brings back 70s again!
Opt for unusual pairing this year, mix and match prints and textures. Slip dresses and maxi skirts paired with sweaters for a cozy mood.

One major trend that is here to stay for the coming year is smart suits. And trust me it is not only for office look, the options are endless on how you can pull this look day to evening.

Another trend is leather on leather look, which also making a room for itself even for the upcoming spring -summer 2020 as seen on the runways. If you want to add a different twist, try the lamé fabric to shine bright and be ready to party!

Talking about the blast from the past, and calling all the hopeless romantic to champion baroque look:from high volume sleeves to lace and ultra feminine designs.

And finally, pleated skirts are also taking more room in our closets now. This season, change from midi to maxi skirts. Pair them with sandals and socks, sneakers or knee-high boots.

Colors

If you were following the fashion month this season, you were able to see how neutrals and pastels were dominating the looks, but also neons are still a thing. Expect nothing less this fall and get ready to brighten your wardrobe.

Purple in all its shades including the lavender which started making an entrance last seasons. Dare to wear it head to toe or opt to pair it with camel for a cooler look.

Green after slime green appeared on the runways last season, pistachio is the newest tone which also coan be styled with warmer tones if you opt out of the head to toe.  Minty green, sage and olive green are also great tones to work with.

Burnt citrus represents the warmth of earthy colors yet screams boldness and it is worth pairing with extroverted pink  with all the vibrancy to add oomph to your outfit 

Vanilla Custard  and shades of beige are the staples which instantly elevate your look to more sophisticated

Accessorize

Now that we have summed up the major trends, it is time to add the sprinkle of accessorize to make your look stand out.

We talked about the animal prints, and this is also applicable for your accessories. Think mock-croc shoes and bags, snake effect prints and fabrics too.

Talking about bags, while Jacquemus trend invaded our instagram, expect more of this trend this season, pretty things come in small packages don’t they!

Contrast your tiny bag with chunky shoes! Many of us rushed to stock on dad’s sneakers, it is time now to add combat shoes, more loafers and brogues.

 

 

Silk Scarves is your new accessory, tied around the neck or on your head, get as creative as you want. Crystal earrings can dress up any casual look.
