Happy Independence day Lebanon, my beloved country and I wouldn’t want to belong to any other. I am heartbroken over and over again, seeing what happened before and what keeps happening to you and your people, I just pray that Allah SWT will make us witness true peaceful days and to see you this time my phoenix, rise from the ashes without having to be burnt again. May Allah SWT protect you and us, your people, from all the harm and evil manipulation that keeps us and the land, under the mercy of foreign agendas. May you be truly independent till the end of time, Amen.
F for Falasteen / Lebanon
This past week was the hardest on me, having to wake up daily on the news of attacks getting closer home, with the attacks hysterically targeting anything just for the sake of destruction of land and lives. While hopes are soaring high with a possible ceasefire, the fear of an ongoing war like beloved Palestine is haunting me. I keep sharing weekly and yet, I still can’t fathom that, one year and almost two months later, this is still happening. Yesterday the international criminal court issued warrants against Bibi and Gallant to hold them accountable of the war crimes they are committing in Gaza, which is great but hoping to see this translate in actions to stop them. Entire cities wiped down, families wiped for registers and painful losses.
