This winter is taking it seriously, and I am here to fight back the Blues, by selecting one of the best places that make you enjoy the warmth and embrace the Hygge without breaking the bank! After publishing my first list of the top heartwarming coffee shops in Beirut, I promised you another list, and another list is what you will get!

Tota

Any New York Lover? Any Friends‘ Fan. Well I can’t describe my happiness when I found this place. A beautiful location in Mar Mkhayel, renovated and filled with vintage items, no need to tell you how beautiful the tiles are.

One of the walls is made with bricks, and a yellow inviting couch that reminded me of Friends. The menu is suitable for all vegan, gluten-free, healthy and any sort of diet. The coffee is of the best quality too. Did I mention the turmeric chai latte or the scrumptious desserts from Torta.

I was even amazed by the sinks! They also host live bands, and dedicate Sunday Evenings for vinyl records, where you can bring yours and take part of the Dj role! And much more. Make sure you meet Kafta!

Hook

My love for hidden gems that have equally a story behind is insatiable! A sweet couple turned a family business closed since the 70s into the coziest vintage coffee shop, and I was hooked! Attentive service, amazing selection of beverages and even home-made cakes by Torta.

You can also shop from the Good Thymes, Tartinades and other handmade items from authentic suppliers.

They have a fidelity card to stamp upon each visit! They also organize themed nights, so keep your eyes on their social media platforms.

Sole insight

When you are strolling the streets of Beirut, dare to get lost, take the stairs, and oh what can you find, A COZY COFFEE SHOP! Such a beautiful place, full of vintage items, and amazing staff, lovely music, just have a seat and chill.

They host bands on evenings too, so stay  tuned on their page.

I tried their American coffee, espresso and latte. The right dose of calmness needed on a Sunday.

Blue House Tea

The location is so charming, a small turn from Gemmayze Gouraud street and there you are, a beautiful garden and interior. You can organize your private events or just drop by weekdays for a cup of tea and a slice of cake.

I had the chance to attend an event organized by Localfitt, I will tell you all about it in another post, so I visited the garden and fell under its charm!

Kaffeine

Straight to the point, serving tasty coffee, a decent food menu and dessert. Located in the calm neighborhood of Horsh Tabet, it is your new destination to work or catch up with your friends or even a happy hour with your colleagues.

I loved the ambiance, and the waiters are very knowledgeable. We tried their cappuccino and the goat cheese salad. Both were really good.
