My quest never stops to explore my city with all my senses; and how thrilled I am when in one spot I spoil the five-six of them!
Those secret gems, that are bursting in Mar Mkhayel, excite me as if I am on a treasure hunt! Luckily I am rarely deceived.
After several attempts to visit the food dealer, I finally made it on a sunny Saturday to catch up with my friend over tasty lunch.
Just when you are at the corner, you are transported to an Italian village with Bougainvillea flowers falling from the balconies and outdoor inviting seating calling you to sit and relax.
Step inside, and the chilling vibes with brightful colors that are cure to any stress. A beautiful decoration was still hanging from the ceiling after one of the owner’s birthday celebration the night before.
Tables are distributed in different areas where each can have the most comfortable home-like seating to enjoy the meal.
We ordered
- Rocacchino: green leaves mixed with apples, flaxseed, blue cheese which we asked to be on the side along with another side of feta, all drizzled with a white dressing: freshness and creaminess in the same time.
- Salmocado: tangy mix of greens with avocado and smoked salmon sprinkled with sunflower seeds and coated with lemon mustard sauce.
The service, the food, the atmosphere, the music and the location were the perfect mix to enjoy our lunch.
I would love to come back and try their animated evenings too!
